Semen on penis tip/urethra

Hello, I'm posting this question for my friend. He is a male in his twenties, and engages in protected anal sex, but he recently had an exposure that he's very concerned over.

He said he was given a handjob by a man he later heard is positive. The man first masturbated his own penis then gave him a hand job with the same hand, and he thinks the man still had semen or precum on it. The man also rubbed the tip of my friends penis with his thumb and fingers.

How likely is it that my friend became infected? I told him its practically no risk of HIV, but he insists he's read somewhere that its possible. Any advice? Thank you.

Actually, I now see that the recent thread in the Expert Forum was you! The answers in this forum aren't going to be any different than the doctors' answers, and you aren't going to find anyone more qualified than Dr. HHH. Accept his advice and move on with your life.

We don't get into debates with other websites. The doctors on this site maintain that masturbation is not a risk, even if genital secretions are used for lubrication. In fact, there was a recent thread in the Expert Forum about it. If you don't believe us, then read what the doctors have to say about it.

Hi to all.

I am the guy that Joy86 wrote about. Thanx for the response Teak. I have some more concerns and I'm hoping you guys can help.

I'm glad to hear that this site says my exposure is "no risk" but I found some other sites that state that there is still a risk because genital secretions (precum) might have came into contact with mucous membranes on my urethra. The guy I was with, touched my penis tip only once with his thumb for about a second. He might have had precum on his fingers, but I'm not sure.

Why do other sites say it is still possible to contract HIV this way?

I'm still very worried.

No risk what so ever. If your friend has anymore questions have them register and ask their own questions.
