ARS Symptoms

Is it possible to have a rash as the only ARS symptom? I got this rash after a possible exposure and it does not go away i've tried benadryl and other things and nothing. It's very itchy i have a blotch of red on my elbow and then some spreaded around my armpit and chest and some on my forehead and nose. i have no other symptoms.

Once your infected, your infected. But I do not know the exact answer but I believe it's within a couple of days but a risk is a risk. However, being it was unprotected anal it's higher the risk and you should test but a rash alone is not a good indication of ARS as they usually appear with more then 3 symptoms and when ARS occurs, it includes a fever 97%. A popular doctor said on this site that no fever no rash would make it very, very unlikely it's not ARS. But again, another great man who helps a lot on this website, Teak, experienced no symptoms at all

ARS occurs 2-4 weeks after exposure and last usually for a couple of days and on rare occurrences when it last for longer, it last for no more then 2 weeks! If you still experience any symptoms longer then 2 weeks, it's most probably not HIV related.

ARS rash is not itchy and is symmetrical on the body.

Also, I'm sure it's possible to just get a rash but it's probably very very unlikely. I've seen many doctors, at least 3 or 4 say that with no fever and no rash, it's not ARS.

Now I don't know if that's a fact but a doctor, well 3 or 4 said that.

But like anything else regarding HIV and ARS. SYMPTOMS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING.

* ARS rash is not itchy. So now you have NO symptom consistent with ARS :)

* See a doctor if the rash persists.
