Advice for Test

Hi Doc, I am James, perfectly heterosexual, never had sex with any one other than girls, off late i got an exposure to a bargirl in the Month of April.2010 here in Manila Philippines, was drunk and had an unprotected sex and 3 days after to the encounter i experienced pus oozing out of my penis, immediately i visited doctor and was diagnosed as Gonorrhea for which i got treated and now i am perfectly fine  and learned a lot from the lesson. Since then never exposed to any kind of Sex. It would be grateful if you could answer for the below..

1) How common is Gonorrhea in Philippines?

2) Am i at risk of acquiring HIV as well?

3) I never had any kind of symptoms related to HIV after the exposure, in the recent past had a mild cold with excessive drinking of beer i guess and nothing more than that.

4) I inquired with the bar management about the regular tests they have, they confirmed that every week they have SMEAR test and Monthly once HIV test, but we know not to believe them.

5) The girl whom i met was 21 years old, i asked about her HIV status were she says she has no HIV but sometimes infection as Gonorrhea and etc.

Kindly advice me whether to go for HIV Test or not required!

Thanks a lot for your time sir.

James

As for HIV, you can test 3 months post exposure to obtain a conclusive test result.
