Afraid of infection

Hi everyone,

I really need your honest opinion. I had oral and vaginal both protected with a CSW about 3 years ago. It was 1 min of oral and 10 seconds of vaginal. The condom was there the entire time, and it appeared to be ok at the end when I removed it. I was calm until I developed a prolonged sore throat 3 weeks after with some mouth ulcers. I dont remember to have any fever. I'm living a really nightmare since then. I want to donate blood next week, but I am to afraid to be HIV +. Could anything went wrong on the encounter with the CSW?

Nope. You had no risk in regards to hiv. As long as you didn't have unprotected penetration, you are safe. Your sore throat and ulcers are not by hiv.

Moving forward, it is advised for people who are active sexually outside a monogamous relationship to test periodically. May I suggest you to do a full std + hiv test to avoid unnecessary fears like this in the future. I've been there once, anything and everything was hiv until I tested negative and moved on.

Be well.

Thanks a lot malbat. Do you think that if there was any shave cut, made by a trimmer 2 hours before the encounter(not bleeding) on the penis shaft could pose any risk?
All long as the head of your penis was covered, you had no risk. Cuts or no cuts. There, this is the reason why I suggested testing, not because you had a risk, but because it will help you move on. No more 'what ifs'  please. You're safe to move on.
I wil come back in the next weeks with the results. You have no idea how you just helped me with this.;)
You're welcome.
