Am I hiv positive?
On 15 june, 2013 I had sex with a call girl. In between the act Condom got ruptured. i immidiately pulled out and washed my part in running water. i was worried if i m exposed to HIV. today, on September 20, i had Hiv 1/2 P24 combo test. (cmia) and index is 0.22. what does it indicates? i do not have any health problem so far. please suggest that do i need futher xamination?
You have already tested negative after 3 months so you don't have HIV.What the above answerer was trying to say is that you should have just had a standard antibody test at that time but it makes no difference anyway because the p24 combo test looks for both antigen and antibodies.
p24 combo is more expensive and is only done within the first 4 weeks.
p24 antigen is already gone after a few weeks and anti bodies developed.
