most sex workers use condoms. they have sex for a living...it's a job. they use condoms to protect themselves from YOU, their paying customer.
not a bad idea to use lubrication to help your condom stay intact. water based lube should be used.

I did not take any risk as "teak" advised me I always use condoms.
