Can HIV be contacted from a metal nail?

My son put his hand on a wall and pierced his skin with a nail that was sticking out of the wall.  He is worried that he could have caught HIV from this.  I would like to know if there is anything to worry about.

There is no "even ifs" or "what ifs."

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child
