Can multiple HIV tests be false negative at 6 weeks

Hi,
I did following tests at 6 weeks after the risk at SRL Ranbaxy India:
HIV -1 & -2 ANTIBODIES Method ENZYME IMMUNOASSAY Specimen SERUM "HIV EARLY SCREEN
HIV -1/-2 Antibody, HIV p24  Method ENZYME IMMUNOASSAY Specimen SERUM
HIV DNA DETECTOR, QUALITATIVE" Method POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION Specimen WB-EDTA / ACD
All tests were done from blood sample taken on the same day.
All tests results were negative.
Do you think that there is a chance of false negatives on all the tests.
Do you think any further tests are required now or after 3 or 6 months. What are the chances of my being HIV negative in percentage terms.

Someone can be infected and have an undetectable viral load, though I couldn't comment on the likelihood of that..

The reason I did multiple tests were:
combo test of HIV antibodies + p24 which I thought would be able to detect either the anibodies or antigen.

PCR DNA which supposedly detects the virus directly within 72 hours of exposure and the test at the SRL lab claims that it detects upto as small as 10 copies.

So do you think that these tests cannot be relied on at 6 weeks. I should take them after 12 weeks (3months).

Thanks

If test at YRGCARE chennai their window period is only 45 days for their KIT. The doctor said for their kit 45 days more than sufficinet to detect antibdies. In fact they say their kits are much better than PCR DNA.

If you are in chennai you can get tested there for Rs 150.

The docotor said the window period is not universal and it based on the KIT used by the center. But he said able to detect by 3 months, but less than that should be told by the centers.

Once advise when you go to the lab ask them to change the needle infornt of you.

The guideline is 3 months. The clinician with knowlege of your case will be able to determine when to test to.
