clarification please

hi can u clear this up with me please? does having a terminal illness such as cancer slow down the process of antibodies building up, or is it the chemo therapy that slow it down. and yes i have passed the window period 4 months after possible exposure, but i was concerned as im waiting on test results from pap. which is why that question was so important for me to ask. because in that case i would have to wait a bit longer to re test for h i v dont i?

It's the chemo drugs not the cancer itself.
