Condom broke, am really terrified and worried.

Hi, this site has been a shining light during this time i'm going through. I recently was the insertive partner during anal sex with a transgender prostitute when the condom broke.  I was only inserted for 30 seconds if I can recall, and I didn't see any  blood or anything on my penis. She assured she was clean and regularly tested every three months, but this didn't not help me.  I was absolutely terrified.  I made it home about 30 mins after and washed my area with antibacterial soap.  I immediately consulted a doctor, started my first dose of PEP in about 8 hours after the exposure. I also am finding myself hating life for the decision that I made, can hardly focus, can't keep an appetite, and my work is being affected.  I just want to know your opinion for my risk in this situation.  I know i've done all I can do, and can only wait now but am finding that very difficult to do.  What will I mostly catch from this situation, including HIV?  This site has helped calm others down so I hope I am not just searching for positive answers that I know are just that and not assurance.  Please help.  Thank you

Chad

Sorry we really don't give much other info then what Teak has told you. We can speculate and guess but we just don't know.

The Dr's on this site can/will give some more info then we do. So you can search the expert forum or pay and ask them a question.

You can obtain your conclusive test result 3 months after your last dose of nPEP.
