Dr Hook please answer to my question...sorry for my english but i' m an italian gay man and i had anal sex with a man one month ago and i don' t know if he have hiv infection.During our intercourse i was receptive partner  and when he took off his penis from my anus,i felt that the condom was hanging on my anus so i thought that the condom had slipped during anal sex..i' m very concerned about this situation but then i thought that if the condom had slipped during anal sex it would remain inside my anus, but as soon as he pulled his penis out,i felt the condom on my anus and anyway he didn' t ejaculate inside my anus...in your opinion,do i risk contracting hiv??should i get tested?Sorry again for my english...help me please,i m so worried...thanks a lot!!!

Your partner lost the condom on withdraw and at no time were you at risk nor do you need to test.

I would get tested for peace of mind and put this matter behind you.Take a DUO at 4 weeks which is 99.89% accurate. You may have had a risk but its not that clear.Test just to be sure.
