Hey again, this i speak for my friend.

I told my friend about my anxiety and he got scared about his exposure. He goes to a man he finds on an application like grindr. They indulge in unprptected oral and anal sex. He says he wants to test. I wanted to ask you guys about it. Since i went through the site regardong testing and there always seems to be a confuaion between tests and window period i dont know what to say.

It is almost 5 weeks since the exposure it seems. He uses Budamate and Fluticasone to supress his wheeze. This i asked since delayed seroconcersion can be caused due to immunosuppresants. I searched the net for budamate and it says it is an immunosuppresant. Fluticasone i dont know.

Can he go for a hiv duo combo test at the end of 6 weeks considering the drugs he use and will it be conclusive?

And happy new year in advance.

A duo is conclusive after 4 weeks. The specific meds he is taking will not affect the test results.

I don't know what site you are referring to but we rely on the opinion of expert doctors who say 4 weeks is conclusive so that time period is what anyone here will tell you.
Hey is it anytime after 4weeks or exactly at the 28th day?  Some say, after a certain time it becomes just another 3rd generation test. I dont know.
Any test is conclusive any time after 12 weeks and remains conclusive forever.
A duo is conclusive anytime after 4 weeks and also remains conclusive forever so the date that it becomes like any other test is unimportant. The 6 weeks window you initially referred to is very outdated but it is up to you whether you want to use that date.
Hey again! My friend had his Hiv Ag/Ab combo at 46 days. Turns negative. The risk he encountered as stated above is unprotected anal. Can this test be conclusive or should he go for another at 3 month mark? Just another one perhaps? Incase of a false negative? What are the likelihoods of a false negative during a test? This i find it a little offsetting. Because it was a hih risk. Please share your opinion. Id be grateful.
As stated previously, a DUO test is conclusive at any time after 4 weeks.  There is nothing additional to say about your friend's event and his conclusive test.
