Cunillingus worried

Hello,

I am male, 31 years old from Brazil.

On march 14th I performed very brief cunnilingus on a striper of unknown HIV status. Absolutely no other "risk" action. I was with a some friends and I got too much drunk to have good decisions of my actions. After the risky episode we went to a nightclub were I didn't stop drinking until I passed out. My friend got me "home" and I woke up only on the next day.

Right on the next 1 to 4 days, I felt symptoms that I am pretty sure are not related do ARS, but to the excess of alcohol. I could not eat and I slowly recovered my appetite.

Then, after a few days I started noticing other symptons.

7-15 days after - cold/flu like symptoms: Running nose, sore throat, cough (some dry, other with thin phlegm)

7-40 after - Intense redness on my face, torso, arms, hands, belly. (intensity would come and go)
               - lots red bumps on my back;
               - sparse red blister around the body (arms, back, some on the face, torso), some with yellow fluid other with transparent fluid.
               - itchy skin all over the body. Would come and go.
               - dry skin that would come an go with peeling skin on the hands and ankle;
               - occasionally "burning" skin. Mostly on my back.

25-40 days after - lots of red bumps on my tight and buttlocks, some with fluid blisters, others without. Some very itchy and after a few days the fluid would disappear and the blister then would have a thin shell.

7-25 days after - loss of appetite came back and I lost about 8-10 pounds
                       - nausea and weird intestine and stomach with soft to liquid fasces for about a moth.

7-until now - swollen limb nodes on my right side of the neck.

After 32 days of "risk" situation I went for HIV (elisa), syphilis and hepatitis (B/C) test and all came back negative.

I have no doubt anxiety got over me and most likely it could be the couse of some or most of the symptons I felt.

Now, almost 60 days after exposure, I am feeling better, more "calm", but some of the redness, red spots, and blisters, still shows up.

I am planning to run another HIV test on 60 days mark.

Is there any advice for my situation?

Thank you for your attention.

Thank you very much for you prompt reply.

I did got really anxious with the "fears" of HIV, and I have read many other people with similar experience.

I will try to settle my mind and move on.

I wish the best for you and everybody else that provides this fantastic work of informing and educating people about hiv facts and myth.

We can't tell you what to believe, but we can tell you that our forums aren't a venue for debate over our stance that oral sex carries no risk for HIV.  Our stance will not change unless we receive definitive scientific evidence to the contrary.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr. Hook
"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
"I would not say your risk ,if he had HIV is "slim to none"- that's too high.  I would say they are effectively zero.  How much of his ejaculate or other genital  secretions you may have swallowed makes no difference.  EWH "
"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow." Dr.Hook
HIV is not spread by oral sex, giving or receiving, even if sores, gum disease or blood is present
DR HOOK
The fact is that there are no cases in which HIV has been proven to be transmitted by oral sex, including fellatio..  EWH

Hello, Teak.

Thank you for you very fast reply.

I have read many post and discussion regarding oral/cunnilingus possibility of HIV infection. By doing that I did see many different opinions on the subject. Mainly, there is a huge discussion about the diference of reported and documented  cases and also regarding the right use of terms like theoretical/possible risk.

Biologicaly, there is a undefined number variables that could involve a single "risk" act. Thus, even thou science sometimes cannot assign certainty on 99,99% mathematical possibilities, in some cases the same statistical number are used for a "no risk" and for a "low risk" situation, depeding on the variables being diagnosed/told.

This being said, I got really scared specially due to the symptoms I started to feel after my supposed to be risk situation.

Having mild flu simptoms, like sore throat did not scare my. I got really scared after the red bumps all over my back and red bumps with blisters, itchiness and burning sensations.

How reliable is a 32 days elisa test (I don´t know which gen)?

Is as 60 days Elisa test accurate?

Thank you.
