There was another article in The Daily Telegraph this week (Monday IIRC) about a different therapy. I think it involved removing immunoglobulin, culturing it in vitro and putting it back 'supercharged'.
Having AIDS myself I wouldn't do it unless I was on my death bed to begin with. I wouldn't deplete my CD4s on a risk that has only worked for one person and that was just by accident. I've had to have bone morrow tests and that isn't a walk in the park. If a gene therapy is found and proven, that will be another story, but until then, no thank you.
Replacing all the WBC in your body is not exactly what I would call a cure, but I guess technically it could be..
sounds very promising, but I hope they stream line the process. The idea of being put on the brink of death first, sound pretty harsh.
