Do I or Dont I?

I am a 20 year old male. I had sex with my partner in august and now he is back in asia (china). He told me he went for a medical and the dr ticked a box were hiv, syphillus and another disease was. Does this mean he has the disease or is being tested for it? I have had no symptoms at all for hiv. Im really worried.

Please help me out

Thanks

Your choice not to test, but what does it hurt to test? Since you have had unprotected sex.

People never lie, a classic Gregory House theory. I have been with my partner since november. Im clean and he was clean as mentioned in previous post. If he had hiv with latency period etc he would have experienced basic symptoms. Also withthe rise of hiv in beijing i think the medical authorities are over reacting. Similar to hiv is infective mononucleoisis. Exact same symtoms as hiv. Also the box had 3 diseases not just hiv.

I have weighed up everything i know and his test at xmas would have shown antibodies to the hiv virus

If you have had unprotected sex then test.
If you are a med student don't you think your being rather dumb not testing?

1. That he has told you. Yeah people never lie right?
2. Don't have to have symptoms to have HIV.

I am a medical student and i have weighed up the possibilities and it is highly unlikely he has hiv.

1. he has always practiced safe sex, last sex was early sept 08 tested jan 09 and clear
2. no symptoms wat so ever

i dont know how china work.

any ideas?

He obviously would have been explicitly told if he were tested for HIV and tested positive.

If you don't know your partner's status then test.
