Do i have HIV
hi,
i am 3 weeks post a risky sexual encounter where i had unprotected sex putting my penis into a virgina of a women of unknown status. im experiencing intermittent pain on the lower side of my left jaw / mild to dull ach in my thigh / and now diarrhea. could this be symptoms of early hiv. i have not got a temperature however i felt extremely tired from week 2.

also i got tested at 12 days with a 4th gen duo test - i assume test was too soon? awaiting results

12 days result was negative
You can do a conclusive test at 28 days with a 4th generation test. You are living with fear, so your self described symptoms may just be in your head so try to relax and see if they go away until the test result.
HIv doctors are not interested in symptoms without a test because your symptom was self-diagnosed and even if it exists there are many other potential causes. Nothing is pointing toward HIV so try to keep that in mind while you wait for real data to appear.
