further testing necessary?

Hello,
I am from hungary. I have received a blowjob (unprotected) from a CSW 2 month ago. I did not have visible wounds on my penis. 20 days after i had a hiv test, came back negative. I am still nervous, looking for symptoms every day (but don't have any, only a fever a month after, but because of a stomach disease). I have a girlfriend and i don't want to kill her. Do i need further testing, or i am safe?

No incident HIV infections among MSM who practice exclusively oral sex.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr. Hook

"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
"I would not say your risk ,if he had HIV is "slim to none"- that's too high.  I would say they are effectively zero.  How much of his ejaculate or other genital  secretions you may have swallowed makes no difference.  EWH "

Answer to question no. 2: If risk is present, I would say not really reliable.
Answer to question no. 3: Definitely higher than in Western Europe but lower than in Africa and most developing countries. Just exercise caution wherever you are and you won't contract HIV whether you're in Norway or in Zimbabwe.

I'm so sad you did not answer me. Would you answer me a less personal: What does it mean? (it is in my 20days test):
ELISA lgM/lgG: negative HIV: negative
I understand hiv negative but what does it means lgM/lgG? it means it is a DUO test or what else? How reliable after 20 days? Waiting for your reply.

Thank you for your answer, i will read the studies i can find on internet. I have just one final question to you. It is a bit personal, so don't answer me if it is unconfortable. If my girlfriend would be your own daughter, what would you say to me: wait a while and have another test, or you would advise me to forget it and have unprotected sex with her?

Could you link me some of these studies? I'm a sociologist, so nothing can make me more calm then reading statistics.

Not a single case from carefully conducted studies by experts. They're all claims. Wherever you are, oral sex won't give you HIV.

Thank you for your reply. I dont want to argue, but i read at a public health page (maybe canadian i think) that oral sex have, but only a little risk. There are a few cases where only oral could be the route of transmission (based on interviews with hiv+ people).
Do you, or someone knows:
- Are there any cases someone got hiv from a blowjob?
- How reliable is a 20 days hiv blood test?
- How frequent hiv among CWS in Hungary (or east-central Europe)?
Thanks again, and waiting for reply.

Oral sex transmits no HIV under any circumstances and you don't need to get tested. Whatever you're suffering now has nothing to do with HIV at all.
