Doubting that I got exposed to HIV

Hi, few years ago me and my family have taken 2 doses hepatitis b vaccine for 2 months respectively. Since then, I have a fear that we might have been exposed to hiv. New syringes have been used every time but my concern is that the vaccine has been injected from multiple vial ( same bottle has been used for all of us). What if the vaccine vial is contaminated with HIV or other viruses?  I'm so worried about this and not able to sleep. 2 years ago my mother has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and I have photodermititis which is chronic since 2 years. I have this constant fear that it is because of HIV. Can someone please confirm if I'm worrying too much.

When health professionals use a new needle, they poke it into the vial and draw out the medication, then they give the person the shot.  After that, they DON'T put the contaminated needle back into the vial.  Don't worry about it, UNLESS you saw them put the same contaminated needle back into the vial to draw from it.  

HIV is a totally different virus from the cervical cancer virus which is the HPV virus (Human Papilloma Virus).

Are you talking antibiotics that cause sensitivity to light? That can cause rashes when you're exposed to sun light.  Photoermititis is caused by diseases, genetics, or deficiency in vitamins.  Please go and see a doctor to help you.


IF you're really think you were exposed in some way, doctors can do an HIV test.


However, If you did not see them place a contaminated ("used") needle back into the vial, then you're just scaring yourself.  You need to not think too much, or anxiety will consume you.  Seek a doctor for your medical issues..
