ECG Reused Cups on Chest, any chance of HIV

Hi,

I am from India, and today I went to have ECG as part of Pre Employment Health checkup. Here they reuse ECG

Cups and I was having few boils on my chest. They did ECG by reusing the ECG Cups. After that when i was

cleaning the Gel on my chest, i noticed blood from the Boils(Acne) on the Chest. 2 minutes before there was ECG

Performed on One guy. So any chance that his blood may be sticked in the ECG Cups, went inside my Boil on the

chest, which could have caused HIV Infection with 2 mins Gap.

Please advice , should I worry ?

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

Okay thanks. you mean to say, few drops of blood contact with Acne / Boils

in the chest / back side doesn't cause infection. only blood transfusion can

lead to Infection.

Is that so ? thanks.

You have no reason to worry about. There is no way you can catch HIV via ECG cups. No way No how. No matter what scenarios you put across the table for discussion
