Educate me about aids testing

Hi,

I have some questions regarding aids testing not HIV.

I read some article that nearly 40 - 50 % of people develop aids within a year after infection.

If someone goes in for a testing after 2 years if they have aids do the rapid HIV testing hold good .

Correct me if I am wrong.

Does a aids patient have HIV antibodies since the test are focussed on testing for antibody rather than the virus.

Are there any test that actually check for the virus ?

A HIV test will always pick up the virus no matter what as long as it is 3 months or later.

Yes some one will have antibodies if they have progressed to AIDS.

No, tests check for antibodies.

I believe you are the same person who has posted now under 3 nicknames. If you are please stop doing so, you have been answered.
