HIV Truths

1. Sexually HIV is transmitted through only unprotected anal/vaginal intercourse.

2. As per CDC guidelines vast majority of infected people produce HIV antibodies within 4 to 6 weeks after the       exposure.  Get tested at 8 weeks and should confirm it at 3 months. (Should tested even the exposure was more than 10 years old, if testing not yet done)

3. Meanwhile don’t rely or analyze any symptoms.

4. Anyone who had theoretical risk exposure like fellatio, cunnilingus, rimming and handjob get tested at 8 weeks and collect the negative result those need piece of mind.

PREVENT HIV BY THREE WAYS.

1. Use new latex condoms every time correctly and consistently with water based lubricants.
2. Use new latex condoms every time correctly and consistently with water based lubricants.
3. Use new latex condoms every time correctly and consistently with water based lubricants.

Thanks ....  Do people who are positive have symptoms weeks after infection other than ARS?

NO. ARS symptoms if someone has them come on all at once and leaves all at once. Again symptoms or the lack of will never tell you anything about your status.

I hear about ARS, could it be that?

Symptoms or lack of will NOT tell you your status. Testing at 3 months post exposure will give you a conclusive test result.

had sex with a co worker and the condom broke. This was approximately seven weeks back, three weeks later I had joint and muscle pain no fever or rash. At approximately the six week mark I had a sore throat and muscle pain and my testicles hurt. I went to my health care provider and was tested for clamidia and gohneria with negative result. Could this be HIV?
