IV Drug Users? Quite OCD question, help please.

"IV drug user" on wikipedia is same article with "drug injection." I know it means injection to bloodstream by using the same syringe each other. I would like to know if it's the same when I was injected by a doctor.

LET'S SAY that one situation the doctor unconsciously pricks the IV drug syrigne to his finger when preparing rinse the medicine from a bottle, then use it to inject the patient. Is as risk as the way IV drug user does?

In my opinion, it's not the same because I think the way drug user does is rinsing the blood first, so some bloods are still in the syrigne. But the way the doctor does is a little unconscious blood.

Is it right? Explain and educate me please. I'm in the situation with OCD recently.
I just wanna know that if this situation happenes, what I should do.

Thank you very much and sorry for my poor english.

At hospital, I see the doctor do something--rinse the medical from the bottle; with my OCD, I just suspect that if he pricks himself, and use it to inject me what would happend -- if he's poz person.

Sorry for my bad imagination. Anxiety drives me crazy to imagine the situation occuring. Poor me. *sob*

There is no end to imaginations. You were at the clinic and prescribed with an injection. The doctor prepares it, and suddenly and HIV patient moves in, the doctor accidently pricks the needle into him and then knowing that he pricks it into someone who is not you,, he forgets to throw it away and does not prepare a fresh injection for you,,,,,,,,,,,, Analyze the situation yourself,,, Is it a reality? HIV never spread the way you described. Relax and stop thinking about the un usual and un practical ways of transmission
