Eye Infection

good afternoon,

i was curious if there is any risk with getting someone's saliva/spit into your eye.  it was a normal conversation and some of his spit spraying into my eye.  i'm a bit concerned as he has a dubious past (sex/drugs/prostitutes).

Im confused because you say no risk then immediately follow it by saying there is a risk if you touch your eye - so that sounds confusing

if you kind of what you call it like cleaning something out of your eye... then the membrane if covered with blood or cemen, then the substance can penetrate the membrane. Saliva by itself is a save medium. Even if you lick semen or blood, more than likely the virus will not be able to survive or penetrate saliva.

saliva inhibit HIV... and as long as you don't wipe your eyes with hand then there is no risk ....
