Fever after 4 Weeks - Do I have HIV?

I had sex for the first time about 4 weeks ago. I used a condom, but there was some naked foreplay. My condom also kept slipping and I am not sure it was on the whole time. The girl has had sex about 25 times, protected and unprotected.

For the week after, my penis was tingling and I thought I caught some other STD, but those symptoms went away.

4 weeks and 2 days after sex, I am developing a fever. My throat is somewhat sore, but I have been having a lot of chills and a lot of night sweat. I am in a foreign country and I will be here for two more weeks. I told my partner to get tested since if she tests negative for HIV, then I surely do not have it.

I am very anxious right now and I do not know what to do. Could you please give me some advice on my chances of catching HIV, what these symptoms mean, and if I should go ahead and get tested myself or wait until I get back home, or also if I should get the fever checked out?

At no time were you at risk of contracting HIV.

Like I said, there was naked foreplay with our genitals pressing against each others. I am hoping this is just laryngitis. I guess I cannot do anything until I get her results in 2 weeks.

I think you had protected sex which is not a risk.

The condom was on, but it would slip off about halfway every time i pulled out. I don't know if it was like that while it was in or not because i was rather intoxicated.

I went to a doctor and he said i had laryngitis since there was redness in my throat, but my throat only hurts mildly. What do you guys think?
