Fissure in condom

Hi i was at a brothal in S Africa and i had sex with a prostitute. When i was done we both inspected the condom and saw a small foamming micro-fissure on the side below the teet.I was startled and she was fearfull of falling pregnant.I washed immediately and she tried to wash too.She reassured me she had no infections and showed me an hiv negative test result from six months ago.I maintaind she took a morning after pill because i do not want some kid cropping up some time in the future calling me dad.In the hypothetical svenario she was in an hiv window period or had hiv what would be the degree of my risk as she maintained that the pressure put her more at risk than myself.

If a condom had a hole in it, it won't last being intact when expanded.

Latex is a 'chain' of hydrocarbon polymer consisting of cis-1,4-polyisoproprene, the molecular bind of this chain is as such that if there was a puncture, during penetration it would expand and contract in succession, generating energy within itself, which will inevitably cause separation within the molecular structure. Therefore, it will fail and that failure will be evident.

You can't change this science. If you indeed saw there was a hole in it, it might have occured after using it, maybe during removing it or what ever it might be.

Since you used a condom and it didn't fail, you do not need to test.

Thanks for the infoemation...it really appeared like a fizz of bubbles similar to when a sweet with fizz in it starts fizzing out..this was evident while the condom was on just having pulled out.She had also given me oral with the same condom. She pointed it out first the fizz was on theft side before and just clear of the teet that holds the semen...she claimed traces of my semen had entered her and attempted to remove them with tissue. The brand of condoms was lovers plus.Used it many times and never experienced a problem before.Weird though.
It was most likely ruptured while pulling it to remove, that's the only logical possibility. I reiterate, you can't have a condom intact if there was already a hole present during penetration, it would have ripped, that's how it is built.

Also, using the same condom for oral and then for vaginal or anal intercourse is not a great idea, it removes the lubricants present in the condom making it prone to friction during vaginal or anal penetration, this certainly maximises the possibility of breakage.

Your condom didn't fail during penetration, you need not worry about testing or PEP.

One more thing, normal male semen is a thick discharge, you will not see it to be foamy popping out of a surface.

Semen can seem foamy or frothy due to rubbing it after ejaculation or in worst case due to retrograde ejaculation, you might want to see a urologist if that's the case. HIV is not your concern.

If a condom fails it is a large rip down the seam and t hangs in tatters so that didn't happen and micro holes are a myth. Likely you thought you saw a hole.
I would move on from hiv because she uses a condom to protect herself from her clients so she is going to be negative anyway. But if you want to test take a duo after 4 weeks, but the hole didn't exist so it will be negative.

I saw it with my own eyes ..a pin hole fissure and bubbles of semen comming out...she also saw it so we could not both be mistaken. What made me calm was her confidence in being clean and her hiv test.I have never had such a mulfunction before and she said if i had gone on any longer it probably wud have ruptured. From what i read about hiv is that it requires massaging into abrassions to realise an infection ..most of my penis was covered and the only concern is the hole.Im sure the chances of getting some other std are highier but i have decided not to go on PEP..its not according to my assesment worth the hassel. Will test after 4 wks as you suggest.
It sounds like both you and your partner are not familiar with what condoms are supposed to look like after use. Apparently that is what happened here. There was no pinhole in the condom, you're both just not educated in the proper use and removal of them. Personally I think for you to take PEP even though the chances of her being positive are slim to none, since she said she was not infected, is overkill to say the least. Her main concern was not to get pregnant and not the possibility of disease. Most people, when asked directly, do not lie about their HIV status. You're right to get tested after 4 weeks but you'll now have to wait until 4 weeks after finishing the PEP to test instead of 4 weeks after this event. So by then it will be 8 weeks later and it will take even longer for you to get a conclusive result. You should expect a negative, because I personally don't think you had any exposure in the first place, much less one that required PEP.
He said he will not take PEP. Good plan to stay away from it.
Testing won't be necessary either. The fact that you had to check your condom after sex is not pointing towards normal behavior. Usually, only anxious or paranoid people tend to do that. That says a lot.
