Reread what you have already been advised.
so because i got tested 12-13 months after unprotected sex and it came back negative I'm hiv-? and if so did they really need to do a confirmation test and does this mean the rash didn't come from hiv?
A million things can cause rashes from the mundane to malicious---- what is known is that the cause of the rash is not HIV-- perhaps you should consider getting tested for allergies---allergies are more likely to be the casue of rash than HIV--- the triad of symptoms of EARLY HIV INFECTION (not a year later) are sore throat rash and high fever--hiv is not your concern but this is an hiv forum and you certainly cannot expect us to diagnose your rash...see a health care practioner and then maybe consider a mental health one too as you seem overly fixated on HIV.
so then since my result was negative for HIV what caused the rash on my chest?
Re-read what you have been told.
so then not even the small little rash on the top of my right peck its not real big its just small red bumps that aren't itching and I haven't noticed them is this a typical jiv rash
See a doctor if you feel unwell, it has nothing to do with HIV.
so then why do it still feels like i have have a sore throat coming back and with a nose that feels stopped up but no other cold symptoms ? and why would they need to do a rapid test
so then test test results that came back negative is my results and i don't have it since i tested negative at 12-13 months?
your negative test result is CONCLUSIVE and you didn't need another test.
Hi back in the summer and december or 2012 I had unprotected sex with the same guy but noticed no symptoms then in april I got a sore throat and muscles aches but I didn't pay attention to them and thought it was nothing until I looked up the symptoms for Hiv. so i got tested today and they told me I ddin't have syphilis or gonorrhea or claymida and I got a negative result for hiv but they said they're doing a "confirmation rapid blood test" and I needed to know what that meant and since my original hiv test came back negative does that mean I'm good and if so why do i still have a sore throat?
Symptoms mean nothing. You are way past the window period. Get tested.
ok so since the last time I had unprotected sex was in december and its now may am i past the window period? period and don't the early symptoms show up 2-3 weeks after infection
You have had unprotected sex you need to test. The drs will say that most ppl dont lie when asked about their status. However if these are hook ups which they sound like they are you don't know when that persons last exposure. He could have tested during the Window period, thus still being positive but not showing antibodies yet, ya know. Do the only way to know your status is to test. You fad unprotected sec you need to test and then when you test 3 months post exposure then you must practice safe sex from there on in and you will never have to worry about hiv .
my only exposure was unprotected sex with the same person once in the summer of 2012 and December of 2012 he said he was clean and after both time i had no symptoms at all. The only other exposures I had was in feburary when i gave and recieved head from a guy a week later i had discharge and I later found out in march it was gonorrhea i got treatment for. around april is when i started feeling muscle aches and i called in and they said I was negative for syphilis and claymidia then a week later on april 10 i was given oral sex from a guy a guy and i gave him oral sex but the week before he was tested clean for hiv and stds and he had a condom on. Afterwards i still had muscles aches and sore throat but the sore throat is gone away and my muscles ache and my eyes feel tired and i've had no fever or anything else
What was your exposure? If you have never had unprotected sex or used iv drugs then you have nothing to worry about. Don't come on here talking about symptoms if you read any of the other posts you would know that symptoms or a lack there of tell you nothing about your status. The only way to know is to test, the only reason to test is if you had an exposure. If you want ppl here to evaluate your risk tell them your exposure. If you had unprotected sex with a person of unknown status get tested if you shared iv drug works with someone get tested. 3 months post exposure you can get your results
