Frightened idiot

3 weeks ago I stupidly engaged in mutual masturbation with two other guys. From what I've heard they may well be HIV positive. My penis may have been in contact with the others and subjected to *** and precum. Both had their fingers up my anus at one point. Since two weeks after the episode I've experienced numbness and moderate aching in both feet and calves as well as numb hands. My lower back is feeling kinda weird, it tends to give when I bend over. In addition to these symptoms I'm experiencing some moderate pain in both ears, my neck is a bit stiffer than usual and I'm having chest pains. I'm also experiencing dry cough and night sweats. I'm terribly worried these symptoms may in fact be HIV related ARS. I have'nt got a fever nor are the symptoms I've described painfull in a way that keeps me from doing the things I usually do (i.e go to work...). I am freaking out though and every day that goes by seems to make my life even more troubled. I'd really appreciate your opinions, both on the risk related to the incident and my symptoms.

TIA - Andy

This comment is given to show that the advise you get here is indeed valid. I did get a combo-test at 63 days and it came back negative. To all of you who are experiencing difficulties and "symptoms" - hang in there and dont loose faith. Most likely it's all anxiety-driven. I can't believe I wasted nearly 3 months of my life worrying about this but the one thing I have learned is that life is indeed fragile and your actions will have consequences . I've decided to make a donation to HIV research and I will follow this forum closely;contributing when I get the chance. God bless and thank you all for the comments in this thread.

No further comments are needed, it will be negative because you didn't have a risk.

Thanks. I do find comfort and hope in the comments you've all made. I can't seem to shake all my fears though and I've decided to get a combo test at 28 days. Hopefully my symptoms are all in fact generated by anxiety as Lizzie and mgb21 both suggested. The numbness in my legs and hands is'nt going away though and I am REALLY worried about the whole situation.... I'll post my test result when I get it.

I believe that what you're experiencing is what is known as psychosomatic symptoms, something I used to do to myself all the time.  RELAX, you're FINE.  You did nothing to infect yourself with HIV by what you describe.  I lived my life in total fear of this and other diseases, and what a waste of time and energy; don't do what I did.  I worried instead of living, and that *****.  Also, I have personally known MANY guys who should have contracted this disease because of their behavior, but never did.  Ditto for many of my friends who work in health care.  Relax and enjoy your life and just being young; I didn't, and at times I am very angry with myself for not doing this and letting go.  Hope this helps.

Mutual masturbation is zero risk, regardless of the fact that you may have come in contact with pre-ejaculate fluid or semen.  Fingering is also zero risk.  Nobody has ever gotten HIV from either of these activities.

since you were never at risk...your symptoms are more than likely generated from anxiety.
