HIV & Rimming

Hello,

My partner is HIV+ and I am HIV negative...I am planning to get on prep soon but am moving for a new job so I am between insurances. My partner is on medication and is now undetectable. This morning he and I engaged in heavy kissing and I gave him a rim job. He was clean down there, however I have a gash/cut on my lip. It is not bleeding but you can see the underneath membrane and it does hurt a bit,
More so than chapped lips would.  Should I be concerned about transmission?

Thanks!

I'd also at that I am getting sick, i believe a minor strep throat so my mouth has additional cuts/sores...maybe that increases my risk? Not sure

You had no risk.
Your cuts would have to have been very large, deep,  profusely bleeding gaping WOUNDS, the type of wound that would require emergency sutures for there to have been ANY risk to you.

My friend got strep throat from sharing a beer bottle. Your symptoms are irrelevant and you should stop studying them, since millions of people get strep throat every year from bacteria like my friend did.
Hello, thank you. I wasn't discussing my strep throat as a symptom. My question is does rimming while having strep threat increase the risk of transmission.

Thanks!
