HIV EXPOSURE (HEEELLLP)

Ok about a year and 2 months ago sept-oct 2013  I had protected sex with a prostititute.  About 4 min into the sex i pulled out and noticed the condom had broke and blood on my shaft and head, pretty much whole penis. I immediately went to the bathroom washed with soap and water. Went home and did the same thing.  Waited about 6 weeks and took the rapid anitbody test. They told me the new gen tests are accurate during this time.  Around Aug 2014 i weighed 155 lbs. Around Nov 2014 i weighed 143.  Im not on a diet but i kno I had weeks or days of not eating enough food, sometimes once a day. I havent been working out.  I am worried that this may have caught up with me. Could it be?? nervous as all hell!!

Your exposure is on the higher end of risk scales, because you weren't just exposed to vaginal fluids you were exposed to blood.

On the other hand, you've had no symptoms and you had a  test at 6 weeks that was negative.  A 6 week is very good.

Maybe out of an abundance of caution, consider taking another test.  But I'm guessing your weight loss is what you are thinking:  just not eating well.

Be well

This is just to put your mind at ease since you did not test at the correct window period originally which is 3 months post exposure but you can have confidence the test you took was a great indicator.

So it doesnt sound like somethin to worry about but to ease my mind i should take one? I think im just over thinking it.  Havent had any symptoms at all and it happened a year and some months ago.  I think im just puttin guilt on myself.

Hi, just take another test but contracting hiv from a one time affair where the condom broke is not something to be overly worried about.
