HIV PREVENTION FROM BLOOD TEST

Dear sir/madam,
I recently had a blood test at a reputed clinic in mumbai(INDIA) the name of the clinic is THE CLINIC(METROPOLIS) at nepeansea road in south mumbai. After about 78 days of the test i started getting 99 fever and later developed a cold n cough.I also get a headache sometimes and feel stressed and weak.Can I contract HIV/HEPATITIS through the blood test needle.The doc there said they never reuse needles.im very stressed.plz reply n help asap.

THANKS..so thers no chance of infection right? I asked the doc there also she said they never reuse needles and thought it was a wier question........i also calle up the HIV helpline n they too said its safe and thers no chance

THANKS DUDE........I WENT TO THE CLINIC AT NEPEANSE ROAD.THEY SEND IT FOR TESTING TO METROPOLIS.I ASSUME ITS A TIE UP OR SOMETHING.I WAS REALLY STRESSED.BCOZ I HAVE DEVELOPED A FLU AND BEORE THAT I HAD SLIGH FEVER AROUND 99..THANKS

Dude..... Metropolis is a reputed and technologically advanced lab in Mumbai, they work on the international standards they would never ever reuse a needle or a syringe.. just chill,, and FYI today even if you go to a small clinic in say dharavi even there they wont reuse any IV stuff...

Needles are NOT reused, nor is any of the other equipment used in drawing your blood that would be part of the invasive aspect of the lab draw (putting the needle in your arm).

This is an irrational fear.

I DIDNT HAVE AN HIV TEST.IT WAS A REGULAR BLOOD TEST BECAUSE I HAD A STOMACH INFECTION........IS THERE A POSSIBILITY O=F GETTING HIV/HEPATITIS THROUGH THE BLOOD TEST NEEDLE OR THE COTTON SHE GAVE ME OR ANY OTHER WAY BCOZ OF THAT BLOOD TEST I DID

You can't get HIV from an HIV test, and as you were already told FROM the clionic itself, needles are NOT reused.  There is nothing more we can add.
