HIV Risk? Is this ARS?

18 days ago made a huge mistake had unprotected oral and protected vaginal sex with sex worker in a major US city. A few days earlier I had a cut on my penis. Fast forward and I'm very stressed out. 12 days later I had a sore throat, which yesterday was deemed tonsillitis (throat is also sore and swollen, strep test came back negative). Also around 12 days I had a bump on my lip and a canker sore. Today I've checked  my lymph nodes and one under my arm is a bit painful to touch. I've also lost about 6 pounds since the incident, which is strange because I'm trying to eat the same.

I'm very scared (extremely stressed, feel a ton of nervous energy), I know this is a low risk situation but the symptoms are weird. I don't know if I've ever had tonsilitis before...although I may just not have gone to the doctor for this level of discomfort in the past.

I got a rapid HIV test done yesterday and it came back negative. Also had a HIV blood test sent out yes and will get the results in 3-4 days. Will the results even be helpful this early?

Does this sounds like ARS?

My 17 day HIV Combo AG/Ab test came back negative. Any idea how accurate that is?

I've lost 8/9 pounds in last two weeks (it is quite noticeable) and its got me very worried.
17 days are a good indication but far from conclusive. Duo tests are considered conclusive at 28 days by experts and 42 days by the CDC.
Thanks! is there any indicator as to what % they catch around that time? Also, is the weight loss troubling? its a lot of weight and its strange even looking in the mirror.
Conclusive means you don't have to wonder any more what % it is.

It is almost conclusive that your mysterious weight loss that started when you started worrying is purely because you are so worried that you aren't eating or sleeping properly. If you disagree, then your doctor is the only place to get diagnosed.

"what about a cut on my penis during oral sex? if she had bleeding gums?

also, if symptom were from HIV would they cause the test 5 days later to be positive?"

can someone please chime in on these two questions?

Risks for HIV are:
1) having unprotected, penetrative vaginal or anal sex, or
2) sharing IV drug needles with other IV drug users.

Nothing else you can think of is a risk - you had NO risk for HIV.  Whatever symptoms you're experiencing are not related to ARS or to HIV.
