PCR-DNA test is NOT an approved test for diagnosing HIV period.. Go reasearch any FDA approval on any PCR-DNA test and you will see the information I have stated.
Hi, seems like there's been quite a number of debates over these tests, but I've found something hope it could help us understand more.

Which is not an approved diagnostic test. It's a monitoring test for people that are known to be positive and for those that are on HAART medications.
Called them other day. It's actually a PCR-DNA test. They send it to a lab and results in following week
We discuss approved and regulated HIV tests on this forum.

Obviously there is. Maybe not in the US yet? I mean, the health authorities in Sweden wouldn't give such poor and ultimately negligent advice would they?
There is no test conclusive that early for a possible recent exposure.
Hi teak ... it seems that they have a new test other than Elisa ...and on the test paper they wrote in german " liegt die letzte Risiko-Infektion weniger als 16 tage zuruck, empfielt sich eine kontrolle in ca.2 wochen." = if the last risk infection is after less than 16 days then it is recommended to test after 2 weeks.
so in general they are giving a result that is negative after 16 days of exposure ... and in the paper they didn't recommend to test after 3 months ...
what he understood from them is that a 16 days result is a 100% conclusive ... and it seems that it is a new type of tests that is more advanced than the old ones ...
now i agree with you that it is better to test at the 3 months to be 100% sure ...
A three month test is conclusive. Doesn't matter what country you are in.
