Teeth flossing and oral sex, bleeding gums

Hi, I had oral sex with a guy, but I flossed my teeth 4 hours before the act, also brushed my teeth. There was no ejaculation in mouth, but some precum was involved. I don't know if my gums were bleeding at the time, but when I got home I started to spit and after several times spitting I noticed some blood. What if my gums were bleeding during the act? Thank you

While we are sorry this is a source of anxiety for you, you've received clear answers that oral sex is not a risk for HIV.  There is nothing to add to no risk.  We wish you well and are closing this discussion.

I can't helo myself, I 've been googling in last 24 hours like a crazy. From 'no risk,...to some risk,...to lower risk,...to very low,...to very very very low' ...and again to "Risk increases if bleeding gums or wounds are involved"...I have a feeling I could jump from my window right now!

Geez dude, calm down! According to the HIV experts who used to post here, oral sex is not considered a risk for HIV, regardless of whether you had bleeding gums or not. It's irrelevant. Your saliva, which by the way contains millions of different enzymes to help digest the food you eat, is the reason why HIV is not infectious in saliva. It's an extremely fragile virus that cannot survive in such a hostile environment. All of the sites you saw which said there was any kind of risk for oral sex are just misinformed or extremely conservative in their responses. You need to chill out because there are zero documented cases of anyone being infected with HIV through oral sex and that includes meth mouths and other assorted poor oral hygeine types, which means that you will not be the first in history.

I maybe had bleeding gums at the time, and I think the guy had abrasion on his penis due prior masturbation. Still no risk?

Hello, oral sex is not a risk for HIV transmission. The virus is deactivated in saliva. Regardless of whether or not your gums are bleeding you cannot contract HIV from oral sex alone.
