HIV from a toilet seat?
hi there I live in a shared house and the guy lives in the room next to me is sexually active with a girl comes to him every weekend . I am really worried when sitting on the toilet that my penis tip touches the toilet seat and possibly could come into contact with semen on the toilet seat i didn`t see any blood on the toilet seat .usually i wipe the toilet seat before sitting on it but this time i didn`t now i feel pain in my thighs. please help is there is any risk from the situation described?
HIV is not transmitted by surface contamination. This is a paranoia driven question.Any blood or bodily fluid are not infectious once exposed to air and the elements. You cannot get infected by a toilet seat. Please know that in adults, hiv is transmitted by sharing intravenous needles and unprotected penetrative vaginal/anal sex. Others are just myths and fear mongering.
