Hi, you are right. The test was a 3rd generation. The confusion was because when my gf called the hospital to ask for the test generation, the doctor was out and the nurse didn't know. So the nurse read the name on the machine (elisys uno human) and gave it to my gf thinking that that was the test generation. My gf contacted the hospital again and they confirmed that it is a 3rd generation.
Thank you very much for keeping coming back to answer my question. Really I can't thank you enough. By the way, My gf is European ;)
You said she was tested with a 1st generation test just a few weeks ago? I didn't know first generation tests still existed let alone were being used outside of Third World Countries.
Any test taken after 3 months (even the first generation) will be conclusive. If your girlfriend has not had ANY risky sex between the time she tested and when the two of you began dating, she does not need to test again.
If she HAS, then I would recommend she have a 4th generation test done at least 28 days post her last exposure and a follow up confirmatory test at 12 weeks for 100% conclusive results.

If you have further questions, please ask.
If she had TOTALLY abstained from any UNPROTECTED sex during the 3 months BEFORE she was tested, then her results would be conclusive. (ANY test after 12 weeks will be conclusive)
You state she received her results 2 weeks ago. If she had no unprotected sex during THOSE two weeks before having sex with you, then you would not need to test.
BUT............you ALSO stated that SHE tried to put YOUR UNPROTECTED penis into her vagina........can you be 100% sure she didn't succeed with another partner? If she did, then all her test results would be null and void......leaving YOU, once again, unsure.
My advice, since you asked for it...........TEST! HIV AND STD's

No matter how you want to paint this picture, the bottom line is that you DID have unprotected insertive vaginal sex. Even if only a small portion of the head of your penis was inside her vagina, your urethra was and THAT is the portal for HIV and STD's.
Should you test? Yes.......more so for STD's. Will you test positive for HIV? Most likely not. Your risk factor in this particular situation is approximately 1 per 2,500 exposures or 0.04 percent. So, the risk is low, but is still a risk. How will you know FOR SURE? The only way possible.....test.
