Calling back for results in half an hour VERY NERVOUS!!

Took Home Access test yesterday and just called, they said another half hour until results are released.
I have been back and forth, back and forth, in my mind all day/night, extremely anxious/nervous/worried/scared to hear results.
Almost too afraid to call back!

Whatever city you're in, you can probably find a place where you can go this afternoon to get a 20-minute test done. Various LGBT organizations offer them, and some groups like Volunteers of America also do. Most county health departments take a couple of weeks to process the test.

Yeah man take worrieds advice, seems impossible that a little piece of latex can protect you, trust me they work 100% effective, and if it broke you would know, wont be a small hole or a little tear you would have something that looks like a hoolahoop around your penis thats how they break.  Didnt break in this case, ease your mind.

Why not just drive down to the local clinic, get a rapid and be done with it within 30 minutes? Problem solved.

I appreciate your boost of confidence and your encouragement.
It's just hard to mentally accept that a thin piece of latex is all that stood between me potentially contracting this disease!  Then the "what ifs" sink in, what if it broke and I didn't know, what if this, what if that....
I will take it for piece of mind, and to officially over this terrible funk that I'm in...hopefully be over it in a good way!
I will post back with my results, it probably won't be until middle of next week when I have time to get and take another test and send it in.
Thanks again.

You had protected sex, aside from that you had oral which carries virtually no risk, you had protected sex, you tested negative at 8 weeks, did I mention you had protected sex, grats you are a true example of the importance of using condoms if anything you should congratulate yourself, for practicing safe sex. Hell let me congratulate you, you were exposed to someone who was HIV positive, you used a condom regardless of that person's known status at the time, and 8 weeks later you have tested negative, condoms work. Your result is going to come back negative man.  Whether you get you results tomorrow or Monday they are going to be negative.

It's been over a year and half since last test, with only exposure since then oral few encounters, both ways...
I tested 8 week negative after exposure to an HIV positive male (found out after the fact)! We had protected sex, and have been way too afraid since then to test again.
But I can't live with this extreme worry anymore, it's affecting my quality of life so I finally built up the courage to get another test and sent it out yesterday after staring at it for a good long time!

How long did it take for you to do the test. Was it hard. How long did you wait before you took the test when you thought you were exposed. Good luck
