HIV risk - anal fingering

Sorry to tie up bandwidth with this but need some reassurance. I just had an encounter with another married man that has me concerned. I received oral, there was some frottage and he anally fingered me and used a clean toy on me. He ultimately ejaculated on my chest and chin. Absolutely no penetration occurred and I didn't ingest any cum. My concern is that he may have had precum on his finger prior to fingering me. When he used the toy there may have been some blood. I see some old posts on this but wanted to assess my risk. I'm wrestling with massive amounts of anxiety, guilt and shame. Call it years of Catholic guilt but for some reason I'm convinced something bad is going to happen. Also he claims to be clean but was last tested over 6 months ago. Please advise.

Most definitely , in your case no testing would be conclusive .. But I certainly understand the anxiety/ guilt will consume you if you don't.

Your encounter had no penetration , you would not contract HIV this way. HIV is transmitted through anal or vaginal sex . Frottage and fingering are not HIV concerns. Also HIV will not survive in open air.

I get this nagging feeling that I won't be able to let this go.  Largely because of guilt.  If I wanted to close the loop and get a test, do you think a 4th generation test at 4 weeks would be conclusive?
Non risk activities do not carry a window period. Therefore any test you take for a non risk at any time would be conclusive. Your problem is guilt and not HIV infection. You are much better off spending your money on counseling to help you deal with your guilt and reasons why you did this rather than wasting money on an HIV test when you had no risk.

Based on your non- sexual encounter you wouldn't be at risk for HIV .. The virus cannot survive in open air . HIV is typically transmitted through unprotected anal and Vaginal sex or IV drug use.

Thanks. Because of the anxiety and guilt due to my poor decision, I fear that the only way I'll truly feel better is to test myself. Just not sure which one and when.

I should add that my biggest concern and cause for anxiety is protecting my wife. I'm still wrestling with the guilt of cheating, especially with another dude. Although we rarely have sex these days (2-3x per year), I couldn't love with myself if I brought something home. Wish I could rewind the clock as this was so not worth it.
