HIV is not a common cause of dry mouth. Anxiety often is. See your doctor about it.
If you post anything more other than your test result, the entire thread relly will be deleted.
Doctor I am Going to get tested this week however I still cannot understand this dry mouth problem it has been chronic and consistent for almost two weeks for me. Please dont delete my thread I am begging you to tell me only of this is troubling for someone who could have potentially been exposed as much as 10 months ago I have been going crazy and can't understand why my body is reacting this way I'm don't fit under any or the categories as to why one would have dry mouth please please please respond thanks
I said I would have no more comments until and unless you report your test result; and that there is no information you could add that would change my opinion or advice. That includes the information you provide here. If you do it again, the entire thread will be deleted. Re-read my comments above and concentrate hard on them.
Thank you I just don't understand then how I'm not producing any saliva and where the fungus came from can this really be panic stress anxiety induced? I wake up in the morning at 430 feeling horrible and with a dry mouth
I saw these comments before I replied. They make no difference in my opinion or advice. I look forward to learning your HIV test result, but there will be no further discussion until then.
Welcome to the forum. I'll try to help allay your concerns. You had accurate replies on the HIV community forum; I can confirm that you were not at risk for HIV and should not be worried about it.
It is statistically unlikely your erotic massage or escort partner had HIV, but even if they did, you describe exposures that would not have transmitted HIV -- as you were informed on the community forum. Oral sex, non-penetrating genital-anal contact, fingering, or blood on the skin (which you mentioned in the community forum) are not risky for HIV. And although fungal infections of the mouth or tongue are more common in HIV infected people, the large majority of such infections occur in persons without HIV. (I had it myself once.) You also are correct that oral thrush is a sign of late HIV infection, i.e. overt AIDS; but not nearly enough time has passed for that, and you can't have AIDS without being seriously ill in many other ways aside from a tongue problem.
But you don't mention the most important factor! Have you been tested for HIV? If so and it was negative, you have no worries. If not, of course that's what you need to do. Do not tell me you are afraid to test because you fear a positive result. You know that is irrational. If you indeed have HIV, of course you need to know; and if your test is negative -- which it will be -- that result will be far more reassuring than anything I can say.
Feel free to return with a comment to tell me your HIV test result. If the events above are your only possible exposures, then for sure it will be negative. Do not post any other comment of any kind until you do that; without a test result, there is no information you can provide that would possibly change my opinion or advice and I will have nothing to say until then.
