HIV risk from French kissing, given that I have dry mouth syndrome?

Hi,

I recently came into contact with a sex worker in Sao Paulo. Whilst I did not have sex with her, I did finger her and she gave me a handjob. I did not have any cuts on my finger so I am not worried about that.

However, I did kiss her for an extended period of time, with some tongue involved. Normally, I know this exposure carries no risk of HIV. However, I have dry mouth syndrome, which means my mouth produces less saliva, and my tongue tends to be dry all the time. Saliva protects against HIV, so the question is, am I at risk of HIV from this exposure because of my dry mouth? Does my dry tongue, increase the likelihood of blood from her mouth penetrating my bloodstream? Does her saliva give me any protection?

I did not taste any blood during kissing, but I am worried that my dry mouth may have put me at risk.

Please help, I am worried sick and considering PEP

It wouldn't be the rare case it would be the only case. Believe me.. You won't be making history.

As anxious has already stated , the simple answer is no. HIV is not transmitted through kissing .. No matter how dry your mouth may be . Anxious has provided you with very precise and accurate information . Think of it this way: if anyone with dry mouth could acquire HIV .. How many billions of people would have it?

Yeah, I think it's just the anxiety/guilt that's getting to me and making me think "what if I'm the rare case where it gets transmitted by kissing". Thanks for the help everyone!

HIV is inactivated in saliva so it doesn't matter if she kissed a big wound you couldn't get it. Normally csw don't kiss because they don't want what you might have.

She probably kisses a bunch of guys every day if she is that careless so colds and herpes might be high possibilities though you have to go to the std forum for that.

So the HIV is inactivated in her saliva? (bear in mind I have dry mouth). I am ok with the possibility of having herpes, it's just HIV that scares me
Continually rephrasing your question serves no useful purpose in HIV prevention, so If you want a biology education then you will have to talk to your doctor or a scientist.
Sorry if I worded that poorly, I meant to ask, is her saliva alone sufficient to inactivate HIV, given that I have little saliva in my mouth (because of my dry mouth)? I know I'm being very nitpicky here but please bear with me, I am worried.
