HIV symptoms question with Valtrex

Hello. I am concerned because I briefly had unprotected sex 2 months ago. I am already diagnosed with HSV-2 and take Valacyclovir (Valtrex) 500mg daily. After some reading online, it seems that this medication may delay the HIV seroconversion. Does this mean that HIV symptoms would also be delayed or minimized?

I understand that I will not be sure until I take an HIV test, but I am hoping for some peace of mind until I get tested at the 3 month mark.

The only symptoms that I am currently worried about are:

Fatigue
Random itchy spots on my body that go away quickly which sometimes have a small bump
Mild ache in my neck and armpits
No fever or flu-like symptoms
Post nasal drip according to my doctor, with a little excessive phlem I notice when swallowing.
Mild sore throat

Thank you so much!

Hi. I'm really interested where did you read that valtrex delays seroconversion? This kind of misleading information fuels scared people's anxiety. You can ofcourse test at 3 months mark but it can be done even right now and it will be conclusive.

Symptoms you list are irrelevant to HIV ars. Symptoms wouldn't be mild also aren't good indication of HIV.

Best regards
