HIV test result

Hi there. So I got my result, but I have a question about reflex meaning. I know reflex means secondary test but on my paper result i can not understand that I was antibody positive and then when they try the western blot it changed to negative or not? it is for every one the same rule? I just confused. my test result is here : HIV Screen 4th Generation wRfx .... Non reactive. What exactly the word wRfx means on my paper? does is means that I showed up antibodies ? or no this is a rule for either antibody pos or neg ?

I think this is a standard test name is 4th Gen Duo (antigen/antibody) the wRfx. Look at this:

The Reflex part comes into play if you have tested reactive/positive. If you get a non reactive result it means the reflex wasn't used. However if the Reflex to test #2 was used you would get the determination of that test. Either positive/negative.

From what you describe I don't believe a reflex test was performed on you.  I had similar results on my test and called in to confirm the above with the clinic by the way. You may want to do the same for ease of mind.

It sounds like your initial test was a false positive - it happens and the retest with western blot confirmed that with a negative outcome. i'd talk to the clinic though if you want clarification.
