HIV testing

Hello!

Can someone please offer his/her valuable advise on my situation below-

I had protected vaginal insertive sex and unprotected oral six months back with a partner of unknown status. Below are my test results so far

Negative  with Oraquick Rapid Home HIV1/2 testing at 112, 118, 130, 151, 169, 183 days

Negative with Home Access Express HIV-1 testing at 77, 109,  130 and 174 days

Will these tests work for all HIV-1 subtypes (including O and N) and HIV-2? I am reading conflicting answers in internet abt Oraquick accuracy. But I was told that it is as accurate as 99.9% if the give instruction is followed and test is taken after 6 months. Can I trust these results and move on?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks again Teak!

I know protected sex does not carry any risk. But I was not sure abt the type of condom used. That is what scares me.

During these last six months,  I have many symptoms - mild fever (@ 78th day and after 5 months), mild sore throat (last for a week starting @ 78th day), kind of white  tongue for few weeks starting at 70 days, swollen arm pit node for 2 weeks starting at 75 day and weird rash/redness (similar to redness) & itchiness bumps at thigh, lower back starting at 4.5 months lasting for 2-3 weeks. These rashes were I never had before.

So I would like to know how much I can trust  day# 174 Home Access HIV- 1 testing and day# 183 Oraquick Rapid hiv 1/2  Oral testing negative results. Please advise if these testing detect antibodies of all types of HIV (including type O and HIV-2).

Thanks a lot in advance!

Thank You, Teak!

I wish to believe the same.

Could you please provide answer to the question - Do Home Access and Oraquick testing detect all HIV-1 subtypes (including O and N) and HIV-2?

The reason I am asking is that during these six months I had some unusual symptoms like rashes and  white (medium, not fully coated) tongue which I never had before. I am worrying the tests might have missed to detect antibodies of some rare HIV subtypes.

Thanks again!
