HIV transmission question

Hi Doctors and other Health pro's,

The last time I had protected intercourse with a sex worker was back in late 2010 or early 2011. Since then I have been visiting massage parlors for the odd 'prostrate massage' and hand-job. My last encounter with a sex worker was on 5th of August. And it involved a prostrate massage and boob sucking/licking. THAT's IT! Nothing else. The thing is I presume the sex worker was at least 2-3 months pregnant (I have been seeing the same woman over the last 2-3 months and she was thin) as she had a visible lump in the belly. I did not taste any  breast milk nor did I see any cuts and bruises on her boobs. I would have had them in my mouth for about 1-2 mins (not continuously).

I got tested for HIV 1 and 2 using ELISA, Hepatitis and a bunch of other tests, VIDAL SAT, etc. All tests showed Negative. This was on the 11th of August.

My question is;

1) Can HIV be transmitted through Boob sucking/licking and prostrate massage? Assuming that there were no visible cuts anywhere on her body, i.e. fingers, or my anus, or her ****.

2) Since MY last encounter with the sex worker on the 5th of August I visited a doctor as I had mild stomach pains. After a Complete blood count, urine count, and stool sample it seemed like I had a Cryptosporidium parasite. The doctor prescribed medicines for it (Nitazoxanide - Nizonide 500). Which I took one tablet on friday night and one on saturday morning.

This is where the paranoia set it. After self-diagnosing myself on google I convinced myself I was HIV+ and had the worst night of my life on Friday. So I visited the doctor on Saturday and she was exasperated but told me to get a bunch of tests done. Did a stomach ultrasound - normal, HIV (Elisa hiv 1 and 2) - negative, Elisa HBsAg - Negative, Elisa Anti-HCV - Negative, Widal/SAT -Negative, and a blood culture report which also turned out to be negative.

But this is where it got worse....I 'heard' that some medications can interfere with Elisa HIV/HCV and other tests. And I took one tablet in the morning (perhaps 3-4 hours or more) before the Tests. Can this interfere with the results?

And is my last encounter with the sex worker considered NO RISK, LOW RISK, OR HIGH RISK.

Forgive the lengthy question......even my doctor thinks I am going insane.

Other than that - FBC, CBC, and all other tests were good and did not indicate a pre-existing HIV or any other debilitating illness.

Would appreciate any answers.

Thanks in advance.

DT.

I didn't think the tests would show up negative tbh. For YEARS I was paranoid about HIV. And apart from last year I used to visit sex workers very often (sometimes more than twice) a week. However i always used protection, whether oral or anal. Never gave oral.

I somehow thought Cryptosoridium (google and wikipedia) was a sign of HIV. Worth mentioning that where I live Crypto is apparently quite common. Again this was not enough and the paranoia set in.

Out of curiosity - What are the odds of contracting HIV through boob-sucking? Presuming the woman was HIV+ and pregnant and thus heavily lactating. And suppose I drank like a liter of the breast milk. And also I had an unseen cut somewhere in my mouth. Is it safe to say the ODDS would be somewhere around 1 in 1,000,000 to contract HIV?

- I ask the above because there is so much conflicting info on the net. Some say breast milk does cause HIV, Some say it does BUT only in infants.
- Any recent study which can conclusively prove whether or not this is the case/

Thanks for your answers Teak.

As for the medication do you think it would have affected the test results?

Why would you think it would have been anything other than negative, when you've never had a risk?

Thanks mate.

so I presume my results were conclusive and not affected by the medication.

**I actually did ask my doctor whether Nitazoxanide - Nizonide 500 can give a 'false negative and I think she was kinda exasperated. She said NO by the way.

Would like re-assurance if you have the time.

Thanks again.
