HIV transmission risk of humping with clothes on

Hi,

I'm a young male in my 20s. Yesterday I was with a woman...we dry humped for about 1 minute.
I was wearing a cotton trouser without any underwear beneath it. (This means I had 1 layer of clothing on.)
She was wearing a trouser too.

That makes 2 layers of clothing between me and that woman while we dry humped. My penis was erect and was pushing against her vaginal region.

When the session ceased, I later noticed that my crotch was slightly wet, probably due to my own precum, but it might have been her vaginal fluid.

My question is, with 2 layers of clothing between us, could HIV transmission be a possibilty?

Can you explain the mechanism of infection in such an event? would clothes kill the virus? if the fluid is still wet and hasnt dried out, wouldn't the virus get through?

I misread "cotton" as condom in the question.  Sorry, but it makes no difference.  As I said, the answer was obvious from the title.

Hi Dr,

Thanks for your advice.

I was not wearing a condom obviously, so it was just 2 layers of clothes between me and the woman. The woman can be considered to be a high risk individual due to her past history.

Responding to the question as you posed it the title you selected for this thread:  The "HIV risk of transmission of humping with clothes on" is zero.  It pretty much doesn't matter what other details you provide.

Now I have read the rest. HIV cannot possibly be transmitted through 1 layer of clothing, let alone 2 or 3 layers -- plus a condom!

Like many persons, you seem to believe that "just one virus" is enough to infect someone with HIV.  Not true. It takes lots of virus, and the infected secretions have to get inside the body to have access to certain kinds of cells.  You were at no more risk for HIV from this event than you would have been from blowing a kiss to your partner from across the room.

And on top of that, HIV is rare in women in the US and western Europe, less than 1 chance in a thousand for most sexually active women.
