HIV ?? while taking ECG

Hello,

Recently I went to Hospital, where I have taken ECG... They reuse the Electrodes.. Basically apply fresh Gel on chest and reuse the same electrodes on patients.. I had few chest acne on my chest..Also  din't give attention while ECG is performed... After the Test, I saw slight blood traces on my chest then I got panicked !!!!!... It is big group of hospital, cater all kinds of issues.. But the one I have taken the ECG is of cancer speciality building..... Now I am freaking out that, any possiblity of HIV Infection / or Cancer Infection ??????? I waited 3mins on the lab before the test was performed...

Please suggest me the above said scenario is fine or any Risk involved ?

HIV is not infectious outside the body. The 'blood' that you saw could not infect you.

Even though, there was more blood on the ECG Electrodes, within 3mins, HIV dies since it is exposed to air ?? so no problem with a blood contacting acne wound, which was fresh...
