HOME ACCESS TEST KITS

I have a question regarding the Home Access Testing Kits. I recently had 3 HIV+ people tell me that the Home Access Kits are no good and they give FALSE NEGATIVES about 30-40% of the time. I personally used the kit twice. Once at 17 weeks and once at 20 weeks. Both times I did receive a NEG. However I slightly question the tests now because these individuals were knocking the test kits. Have you heard of someone taking the Home Access test and getting NEG and then going to the doctor or clinic and test POZ all within about the same amount of time? Thanks.

your 4 month negative test was conclusive as long as it was an FDA approved HIV diagnostic test. If you have had no other sexual risks, then you are fine.. but if you have had another sex risk, then you need to wait 3 months from that date to test again..

Home Access, Oraquick and Elisa tests are all conclusive at 3 months... negative at 3 months and you are negative. don't even worry about 6 months.. like i said, 3 months is conclusive.

By not approved does that mean there is no type of research and or tests done on these tests or that they have been researched and tested and the findings show that they are bunk? cuz even if they are 90% right Im not throwing my extras out....

Just curious, please don't tell me to....MOVE ON

thank u so much for your input. i felt pretty darn good about the home access tests that i took but then when they were discredited to me to others, i got nervous. i guess i hear supposedly that 6 months is also conclusive but i am accepting my 17 week & 20 week NEG tests from Home Access. I however have one more test that I already bought when I had them shipped, so I guess I either sell it on ebay or use it at my 6 month marker. Oh btw, when they say 6 months do they mean 24 weeks or do they mean 26 weeks. I just didnt know if they mean weeks or calendar months from date of risk. it's all so confusing and everyone gives different info on sites. Thanks again.

EZ tests are not approved anywhere.

Home Access is the only home collection kit that is FDA approved.

as far as the test kits from China.. they are not FDA approved and are not accepted as a vaild result..Only Home Access is FDA approved and has went through vigorous studies to show its validity and plenty of clinical trials..Heck, do research on dried blood spot testing and you will see that hospitals used dried blood spots to do all kinds of diagnostic blood tests all the time..especially on babies..So, you should feel confident in the Home Access test... again, any other HIV test that is not Home Access is not FDA approved or home use...

The Home Access Kit is FDA approved and is a very valid test when you are out of your window period at 3 months if you receive a Negative result, you are negative. it is the only test that has FDA approval for home use...these people that told you their opinion on the test do not know what they are taling about...the test has a 99% accuracy rate. it is just as reliable as an ELISA test. so, man, if you tested negative at 3 months, then you are negative... please feel confident in your result..

That's a good question, because i know alot of people who use those testing kits...like the instant one that comes from China and you lance yer finger and drop 1 drop of blood and 2 drops of water and then wait.....

Are they pretty accurate?
