I am a 25 year old male. I have blood disorder called alpha thalassemia. I tested positive with a swab culture test for HSV2 in my throat approximately just over a month ago. I contracted it by giving an infected person a blow job. Unknowing they were infected. During my first outbreak episode, I had fever, sore throat, chills, night sweats, however the main overall symptom was my severe sore throat as I could hardly swallow. I have had no recurrent outbreaks in my throat this past month. However, did get a cold sore on my lip that lasted about 3 hours. I have discovered some uncharacteristized rashes on my left buttocks cheek and right side of my torso. They are elevated bumps, not itchy, maybe white, a little red (due to the picking maybe possibly as I'm stressed they are there). I've done some research and the possibly could be sacral herpes.
1. I tested negative for HIV when tested for herpes. though because of my symptoms, I am curious to know how probable it is that I have contracted HIV?
I have come to the conclusion that I must have contracted it due to my symptom, and I know that HSV2 in the throat is very rare to specific AIDS and immuno compromised people. I would like an opinion on the matter.
I will be tested on the 11th of May for those who will tell me to go get tested.
2. Is it possible to contract HSV2 and HIV at the same time from someone? Even though giving a blow job is technically considered low risk?
3. I have had no signs of vomiting, nausea, diahearea, the only symptoms I had were chills, fever, and severe HSV2 Esophagitis and my mild skin rashes. I know the only way to know for sure is to get a test, but based on the information I have provided, is there any thing that someone can tell me about my situation? That they in some way may have related?
Thank you
