Herpes and HIV

Hi everyone who can help me answer my question.  I have tested postive for herpes while wearing a condom from an escort 4 weeks ago.  Really upset about it,  but i know herpes can transfer from skin to skin.   I just wanted to ask my possible risk of hiv as well.  I have tested negative at 25 days for hiv, and my doctor says thats a pretty good test because usual people test postive by then.   Can anyone tell me my risk of getting hiv in the situation.

No HIV risk as long as the condom didnt break.

I have been tested for herpes not to long ago before this situation,  so i know i contracted it from her.  My first outbreak was at the bottom base of my penis where the condom didn't cover 3 days after I had sex with the escort.   Thanks for your respond by the way.

Your doctor is correct.  Props to him.  Most people will have sero converted by 3 weeks.  90% by 4 weeks.  It's a very good indicator of your final result, but because you used a condom you can know that you don't have HIV.

Is the herpes symptomatic?  If not, you could of had it long before the prostitute.

If you wore a condom, you should not have a risk of HIV at all.

Im not a doctor but  I took a class once and they said it could take up to 3 months to show. I wouldnt worry so much about HIV just because you have Herpes. It doesnt matter if you wore a condom either any exchange of body fluid can cause it, that means even though you were protected...if her vaginal fluid touched you.......you got it!
If it was an escort service I would be calling them and having them pay the doc bills.
