Hiv 4th generation test and being in trt treatment.

Hello,

I had a risky encounter about 19 weeks ago. In that time i had a 4th gen done at week 1/week 8/week 17. All negative. Also have taken some oraquick oral test and also negative.

My question is would being on trt treatment (testosterone replacement therapy) affect these test? I would assume no as the only affect i see would be my hemocrit increasing, and if anything a very subtle affect on my immune system (this still i doubt). While also being in trt i have self supplemented some other AAS but at a low dose.

I question it only because i am a worry wart, and have had some post nasal drip, stuffy nose, and also been diagnosed with lingual papillitis on my tongue (white inflammed taste buds from what i understand).

Thankyou!

Your tests are negative and conclusive.  TRT would NOT affect the validity of the tests.  Only heavy-duty immunosuppressive drugs such as chemotherapy cancer treatments would have a chance of affecting the results.

Your symptom are unrelated to HIV and you can comfortably move on from this event knowing you are HIV-negative.
