Hiv Exposure risk

In a steam room I briefly gave oral sex to a man for maybe three or four seconds.  I understand this is a low risk behavior.

After I stopped he rubbed his finger on my anus.

My anus has been burning, I had a little (leaky) diarhea.

Question:  Could I have gotten anal chlamydia from him touching my anus.  If he had semen on his finger and rubbed my anus, could I have HIV.

Thank you Doctor Hook!  You've helped put me at ease!

Thank you for this great service.

Since my experience, I am finding Christ again.

Many blessings to you.

While it is theoretically possible that STDs (other than HIV which is definitely not) might be transmitted on a peson's hands, the fact is that it virtually never happens. Neither Dr. Handsfield nor I have seen this occur in our combined over 60 years of STD focused practice.  I really would not worry about STD.   Hemorrhoids, as I mentioned, are a possiblity. EWH

Thanks for getting back to me.  Exposure was roughly 2 weeks ago.

It was almost like a little diarrhea leaked out yesterday and only once....however it feels like it burns a little down there (rectal area) I've since had a more solid stool.  I'm thinking it might be hemmorroids due to stress?

My STD panel came back and is all negative.  However, they didn't do an anal swab.  I was concerned becasue since he felt my anus that any infected semen (if it were on his hands) could have given me HIV or clamydia.  IS that possible? Dr did an HIV test (as a baseline?), and it too was negative although to early as I understand.

Welcome to the Forum.  You don't say how long ago this has happened—when was the exposure and how long have you had the diarrhea?.  Diarrhea related to sexual contact can occur in one of two main ways, from having something that enters your mouth (through oral sex or rimming) that then passes through your intestines to cause diarrhea OR through direct introduction in infection into your rectum- typically through direct contact such as in the course of insertive rectal intercourse.  Transmission of STDs on a person’s finger is very, very rare and as I understand your exposure, quite unlikely.

The symptoms you describe could be a coincidence or due to something totally unrelated such as being due to hemorrhoids.  The symptoms you describe -isolated mild diarrhea following your performance of oral sex are not suggestive or likely to be HIV.

Let me know more detail about when the exposure you are concerned about happened please. EWH
